The West Reading Drug Store can provide for any patient a disposable weekly  mediplanner  so that medications are taken correctly by the patient.  We are only allowed to repackage medications that we fill in the pharmacy. We cannot use medications from mail order and another pharmacy.  We would confirm all medication orders with the patient’s physician making sure that the correct medication is being given with the proper dosing instructions.  We would deliver a new mediplanner on a Friday or Saturday for the coming week. Any new medication order would be placed in the next delivered mediplanner and the new medication would be delivered in a bottle just for the remainder of the week. Discontinued  medications  would have to been stopped in the  current mediplanner  and a discussion on how that could be done would depend on the patient  and what we would need to do to make sure that it is stopped. The fees for this service are the following  $3.00 to provide and fill the disposable mediplanner and $3.00 for the delivery. Also any  co-payments for the medications that must be filled for the new mediplanners.  Payment would be COD or  CHARGE to a Credit card only.   These fees are only for patients in our normal service area. Higher delivery fees may be necessary if this service is required outside our normal delivery area.
